Today we attended Rizin 2017 Fighting Festival Weigh in. The venue was in the Westin Hotel in central Tokyo. It is a high-class hotel that offers some of the best rooms in Tokyo. They also have high-end restaurants and shops. This is a very good place to have a large event that involves press and V.I.P. Guests.
All the fighters were there to be weighed in. This event is strictly for the press and the biggest MMA fans. The official weigh in is done in the morning in front of the Commission. This event is so the press can check their favorite fighters and see the condition they are in. It is an amazing atmosphere. Everone is excited about the next day’s event.
The event was fairly uneventful until Amir Aliakbari and Tyler King took the stage. Amir was ready for a fight and Tyler was not about to back down for a second. Both of these huge men started to push each other and get aggressive. It was a shocking moment.
This card has some exciting fights on it including Kitaoka vs Yachi, Horiguchi Vs. Tokoro, and Gabbi Garcia vs Oksana Gagloeva. Of course MMA Japan will be there to bring you the latest news!
