Yesterday Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto announced on his public Instagram that he is battling cancer. There was no more information put out other than this. We hope all the best for the MMA Legend.
Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto (MMA Record:18-6-0, 2 NC (Win-Loss-Draw) was born on March 15, 1977 and has fought for Shooto, K-1 Heros, and the UFC in the Bantam Weight division. He is the son of 1972 Olympic Wrestler, Ikue Yamamoto.
He was educated in Arizona in the US and competed in High School Wrestling competition while living there. He earned 3 State Championships.
