Pancrase 305 Results

Last weekend Pancrase put on the 305th even at Studio Coast in Shin Kiba. Pancrase packed the card as usual with great fights. The main event on the card was the one that JMMA fans have been waiting over 2 years to see. This was the final showdown between Isao Kobayashi 24-5-4 (Win-Loss-Draw) and Nazareno Malegari 33-6-1 (Win-Loss-Draw) to unify the Featherweight King of Pancrase Title.

Nazareno Malegari had the title originally but suffered an injury which took a long time to heal. After that, he had some fights in other promotions and was unable to take a fight in Japan due to scheduling. While Malegari was away Isao Kobayashi rose through the ranks to capture the interim King of Pancrase by basically running through nearly everyone in the division. The one man he couldn’t stop was Kyle Aguon  13-7-0 (Win-Loss-Draw) who fights out of Guam.

It will be another war in the cage when Isao finally gets the chance to defend his KOP title against Kyle Aguon. The featherweight division in Pancrase has some serious players and no one can be overlooked. The first time that Aguon and Isao fought Aguon won by a split decision. Both fighters have improved since then so the next time they meet it will be a battle that you will not want to miss. Currently, Aguon is on a 2 fight winning streak in Pancrase and Isao is on 3 fight winning streak. There is a war coming in the featherweight division.
