Bellator Japan – Jarred Brooks Post Bout

Jarred Brooks reflects on his MMA rollercoaster ride since he first appeared on the Japan scene at Pancrase 281 three years ago, his stint in the UFC, and the bad luck that plagued him in the first half of 2019 leading to his win over Haruo Ochi at Bellator 237, Saitama Super Arena.

He goes on to say: “I am the best 115lber in the world and the best 125lber in the world and I’m waiting for someone to actually beat me.”

He says he’s willing to cut to 115lb again if the opponent and price is right, but is happy to move up and test himself against the bigger guys on the RIZIN roster.

“I think I can definitely beat Kai Asakura…I’m looking for the big fish in the pond,” he says.

“I think 135lb would be a really good weight class for me. Just watch!”
