5.16 Pro Shooto Korakuen Hall Fight Card Announced

Kaoru Uno is coming back to Korakuen Hall!
In his return match after a year and six months, he will clash with Rumina Sato’s beloved disciple, Tason Naito!

The “Legend” Kaoru Uno (UNO DOJO) will be participating in the Professional Shuto Korakuen Hall event on May 16, which heralds the arrival of spring.
Kaoru Uno, who will be celebrating his 25th anniversary this year, will be making his return to the ring at the sacred Korakuen Hall for the first time in about 1 year and 6 months since his victory over German champion Markus Held in November 2019.
His opponent is Taizon Naito, whose mentor is Rumina Sato, who fought Kaoru Uno in two historic battles. He is a full-contact karate fighter who won the Kyokushin Karate National Championship, and he believes in the aggressive fighting style of his master.

He was recently defeated in a Pacific Rim match against SASUKE and was matched up with a match that he could not afford to lose again. Uno’s opponent, Taiki Tsuchiya, also lost to Uno in 2014 at the 25th anniversary of the Pro Shooto tournament and was unable to make a splash at Rumina Sato’s retirement ceremony held on the same day. Can Tai Takeru Naito surpass Kaoru Uno, who defeated his mentor and brother?

It has been more than 20 years since that historic match, but this is the match to pass down the Shooto tradition. There is no doubt that these two will rock the sacred Korakuen Hall. Follow MMA JAPAN for the latest updates and news on this exciting match-up!
