We are pleased to announce that Sotaro Yamada and Takao Yamamoto have been selected as members of TEAM BRAVE GYM, led by Kazuyuki Miyata, for QUINTET FIGHT NIGHT 7 in TOKYO to be held at Korakuen Hall on July 13th (Tuesday).
Sotaro Yamada is a member of TEAM CARPE DIEM and has won five amateur QUINTET titles. As a member of TEAM CARPE DIEM, he participated in QUINTET FN2 and FN4, and won many Ippon victories, and contributed to the team’s victory. In this tournament, he will participate as a member of TEAM BRAVE GYM, and he will meet the expectations of Kazuyuki Miyata, the team leader.
He is an all-rounder type who has wrestling as his backbone and he has been active in mixed martial arts promotions such as ZST, DEEP, and RIZIN, and was the 4th ZST flyweight champion. He is an accomplished fighter.

“Sotaro Yamada is well known as a top grappling fighter, but people may not know that he is a former Brave Gym fighter. I expect him to be active again this time. In MMA, he mainly fights in striking and wrestling, but I want him to show that he is also strong in all the martial arts.”
