Ladies and Gentlemen Pancrase 285 is just around the corner. It all goes down on March 12th at Differ Ariake. I am sure it will be a sold out crowd. Pancrase has sold out the almost every show in 2016, and is looking forward to doing the same in 2017. It’s really good for the promotion as they look forward to moving to the new venue, Studio Coast, in 2018.
Let’s take a look at the main event for Pancrase 285. This fight is going to be fantastic. We have seen both these fighters go through some wars to get here and it will be interesting to see who will come out on top. Lets look at each of the fighters. The main event will be RYUICHI MIKI VS. MAMORU YAMAGUCHI.
Ryuichi Miki is an amazing fighter and a crowd favorite. He always comes to the ring with a Samurai sword and wearing a Kimono. He is known for his endurance and his striking game. His current record is 19-10-4. Most of his wins are by decision but he also has 3 KOs. He fights in the 125lb division and fights out of CAVE camp. His opponent is Mamoru Yamaguchi.
Mamoru Yamaguchi has a fight record of 30-10-5. He fights out of Shooting Gym Yokohama. Mamoru is sporting his iconic afro haircut, or “punch perm” as it is known in Japan, and is also a master of striking. He likes to throw out snappy flip kicks to gauge the reaction of his opponents. He also likes to suprise his opponents by nailing them with head kicks. In addition he has strong take down defense. This fight is going to be one of the best fights on the card. You can catch this fight on UFC FightPass or you can come and see it live if you are in Japan.
