IGF Next Exciting Wrestling (NEW) Debut Show Review and Highlights

Yesterday on April 5th 2017 we had the opportunity to attend the debut wrestling event for IGF new promotion called Next Exciting Wrestling. This event featured some excellent pro wrestling and some famous names from the present and the past. In particular it was truely amazing to see Showa era wrestler and god of grappling and Catch as you Can wrestling essentially hand off the torch to the new generation.

This happened in the match Yoshiaki Fujiwara vs. Shinya Aoki. The fight went the distance and it was called a draw. Both men displayed great skills and sportmanship during the match.

Next you had a great matchup between Masakatsu Funaki (FREE) vs. Mitsuyoshi Nakai
As you may know Masakatsu Funaki is one of the founders of Pancrase and a student of Yoshiaki Fujiwara. Mitsuyoshi Nakai has also had some distinguished matches in Pancrase as well.

THen the main event with Best of Strong Style: Josh Barnett vs. Shinichi Suzukawa
The Winner was Barnett (11:59) with a Backdrop Hold.
Josh “The WarMaster” Barnett received a strong reaction from the fans after securing the win.

Over all a very entertaining show and definately one to keep your eyes on.
