Asia’s largest international sports media company ONE Championship announces the signing of Yushin Okami. Okami boasts a professional career starting in 2002 with a total of 35 wins (12 losses). He has fought in promotions such as PRIDE, PANCRASE, DEEP, and the UFC over the years as a middleweight and, more recently, welterweight.
He has faced many of MMA and grappling’s elite athletes such as Anderson Silva, Evan Tanner, Mike Swick, and Nate Marquardt. In addition to his MMA career he has also competed on the world stage in grappling in the world famous competition ADCC.
He has a proven track record breaking the world’s powerful people, and in the history of Japanese fighting sports Okami is among one of the best fighters in the past 20 years, reaching a UFC title challenge against Anderson Silva in Brazil.
Okami is currently training with Team MAD in Korea.
ONE will hold its inaugural event in Japan on March 31, 2019 named “ONE: A NEW ERA” at Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Hall in Tokyo.
