Alaverdi Ramazanov Is One Win Away From Claiming The Most Prestigious World Title

ONE Super Series standout Alaverdi Ramazanov is set to go toe-to-toe with China’s Zhang Chenglong this Friday night in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

“The Babyface Killer”, known for his combination of boyish looks and dangerous knockout power, is laser-focused on claiming victory. If he wins, he will have realized a lifelong dream of becoming a World Champion on the biggest global stage of martial arts competition.

Ramazanov and Zhang will meet inside the ONE Circle of the co-main event of ONE: MARK OF GREATNESS, set for the Axiata Arena on 6 December. The bout is for the inaugural ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Championship.

Training out of Venum Training Camp in Thailand, Ramazanov has honed his skills for years, in hopes of one day being able to compete among the very best in kickboxing. He got his wish when he joined the prestigious ONE Super Series, where he plies his trade among the top talents in kickboxing, Muay Thai, and the like.

Now just a day away from realizing his ultimate goal, Ramazanov’s mind is clear. In his psyche, there is nothing standing in his way.

“My only goal now is the ONE belt,” Ramazanov said.

“I am really motivated to go to the end for it. I do not care how I win, as long as I get to show my level and as long as I prove that I am better – that I am a higher level martial artist.”

The three-time IFMA Champion has longed for this moment, and soon, being known as the best in the world of kickboxing could be a reality. Although he’s garnered multiple accolades already at such a young age, winning the ONE World Title, he says will be his greatest achievement yet.

“I have been striving for this for a very long time, and now, this time has come,” Ramazanov said.

“And I will do everything to take this golden belt.”
