UFC 249 is a go!!!

The UFC returns on April 18 (April 19 in Asia) with a stacked UFC 249 card featuring an interim lightweight title bout between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje.

With a combined 17 post-fight performance bonuses, #1 ranked lightweight Tony Ferguson (26-3, USA) and #4 ranked Justin Gaethje (21-2, USA) have thrilled fans like no other duo over the last several years, defeating the likes of Donald Cerrone, Anthony Pettis, and Edson Barboza. And now with a title on the line, expect to see the best from the best as these top contenders collide in a five-round bout to air live on pay-per-view.

Remaining intact from the original UFC 249 card is the highly anticipated rematch between former strawweight champions #1 ranked Jessica Andrade (20-7, Brazil) and #2 ranked Rose Namajunas (9-4, USA), as well as pivotal matchups between #7 ranked featherweight Jeremy Stephens (28-17, USA) and #9 ranked Calvin Kattar (20-4, USA), #10 ranked middleweight Uriah Hall (16-9, Jamaica) and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza (26-8, Brazil), and #15 ranked women’s bantamweight Sijara Eubanks (5-4, USA) and Sarah Moras (5-6, Canada).

Two explosive heavyweight showdowns from the postponed UFC Columbus event have found a home on the UFC 249 card, as #2 ranked Francis Ngannou (14-3, Cameroon) squares off with #6 ranked Jairzinho Rozenstruik (10-0, Suriname) and Greg Hardy (5-2-1NC, USA) takes on Yorgan De Castro (5-0, Cape Verde).

Added to the pay-per-view main card is a rematch of welterweight action heroes Vicente Luque (17-7-1, USA) and Niko Price (13-3, USA) that has the potential to steal the show on this stacked card.

In prelim action, #15 ranked lightweight contender Alexander “The Great” Hernandez (11-2, USA) faces unbeaten Contender Series graduate Omar Morales (9-0, Venezuela), #14 ranked bantamweight contender Marlon Vera (15-5-1, Ecuador) looks to add to his winning streak against Ray Borg (13-4, USA), Michael Johnson (20-14, USA) returns to battle Khama Worthy (15-6, USA), and rising star Ryan Spann (18-5, USA) takes on veteran KO artist Sam Alvey (33-12, USA).
