Legends & Stars Added to Bloodsport Bushido in Japan





Josh Barnett’s hard-hitting Bloodsport officially comes to Japan with ‘Bloodsport Bushido’ taking place at the historic Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo on June 22.

Previously it was announced that ‘The Warmaster’ himself would compete on the card alongside the legendary Minoru Suzuki. Today more iconic names & top international talent were confirmed.

The names announced include:

  • Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson (former UFC & Pride champion)
  • Mike ‘The Titan’ O’Hearn (bodybuilding superstar)
  • Kazushi Sakuraba (MMA & martial arts icon)
  • Davey Boy Smith Jr. (generational pro wrestling star)
  • David Mozimanashavili (Olympic wrestler)
  • Masakatsu Funaki (legendary MMA fighter & pro wrestler)

To date, Bloodsport events have taken place only in the United States. ‘Bloodsport Bushido’ now marks the Japanese & international debut and is the biggest event yet for the rising promotion.

“We are gathering some of the biggest warriors for Bloodsport Bushido,” said Josh Barnett. “This event marks our debut in Japan, a place I hold dear to my heart. This will be a special night filled with epic battles, legendary names, and iconic moments. Fans in Japan, the United States, and around the world will not want to miss this!”

Opponents for the announced athletes will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
